Football betting rules at Awash Bet

These Awash Bet football betting rules explain how football bet settlement works, including match time, extra time, penalties, interrupted matches and live events. Settlement means deciding whether an accepted bet has won, lost or is void under the applicable rules.

Awash Bet aims to settle football bets according to published market rules and official event data. Before placing a bet, check the market name, the period covered, the match status and any special conditions shown in the bet slip. A market is the specific outcome you are betting on, such as match result or total goals.

If this general guide differs from the conditions shown for a particular market, the specific market conditions take priority, subject to the applicable Terms and Conditions. This guide should be read alongside those terms.

Standard settlement time: 90 minutes

For most football markets, settlement is based on 90 minutes of play plus referee-added stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shootouts are not included unless the market name or rules clearly state otherwise.

Stoppage time, also called added time, compensates for interruptions within a half. Extra time is a separate period, usually two 15-minute halves, used in some knockout matches. They are not the same.

The following markets normally cover 90 minutes plus stoppage time:

  • Match Result / 1X2: home win, draw or away win.
  • Double Chance: two of the three possible match results.
  • Total Goals: whether the number of goals is over or under the stated line.
  • Handicap: the result after applying the stated goal advantage or disadvantage.
  • Both Teams to Score: whether each team scores at least once.

“Full time” on a standard match market normally means the end of regulation play, including stoppage time—not necessarily the end of a knockout tie. First-half, second-half and other period markets cover only their stated period.

When extra time counts

Extra time counts only when the market explicitly includes it or its rules require the final outcome of a tie or competition. Check labels such as “including extra time,” “to qualify,” “winner of tie,” “team to lift the trophy” and “outright winner.” An outright market concerns the eventual winner of a competition rather than one match.

A bet on “Team A to qualify” may include extra time and a penalty shootout where the market rules say so. A standard 90-minute 1X2 bet on Team A does not: if the score is level after regulation play, that selection loses even if Team A later advances.

“Including extra time” does not automatically mean “including penalties.” Check both conditions separately.

How penalties are settled

A penalty taken during the match is different from a penalty shootout. A successful penalty during regulation play counts as a match goal for markets covering that period. A penalty scored during extra time counts only for markets that include extra time.

A penalty shootout is the separate deciding contest used when teams remain level. Its goals normally do not count towards match total goals, both teams to score or player goals markets. It does not change the result of a 90-minute market.

The shootout winner may determine “to qualify,” trophy or outright selections if the relevant market includes that method of deciding the winner. Separate shootout markets follow their own stated rules.

Cancelled, postponed and abandoned matches

The treatment of a cancelled or interrupted match depends on the published event rules, the market and any deadline for the match to start or finish. Do not assume every interruption produces a refund.

Applicable postponement and completion window: [Insert the compliance-approved Awash Bet deadline and any competition-specific exceptions before publication.]

  • Cancelled before kick-off: bets may be void if the event does not take place, subject to the applicable cancellation rule.
  • Postponed before kick-off: bets may remain valid if the match takes place within the published window. Otherwise, the postponement rule determines settlement.
  • Abandoned after starting: unsettled markets may be void if the match is not completed within the applicable window. Markets already conclusively decided may stand where the rules allow.
  • Resumed later: check whether the rules treat it as continuation of the original event or a new event. A replay from the start is not necessarily treated like a resumed match.
  • Official result changed later: any settlement review follows the result-correction provisions, not an automatic refund rule.
  • Incorrect date, team or market: correction or cancellation depends on the published event and error provisions. Report the discrepancy before betting where possible.

A void bet normally means the stake on that selection is returned rather than treated as a win or loss. For an accumulator, the effect of a void selection follows the accumulator rules. A “cancelled” status may indicate rejection or voiding; check the bet record for the reason.

Live football betting settlement

Live betting takes place while a match is in progress. Odds can change quickly, and submitting a bet does not mean it has been accepted. An acceptance delay may apply while the system checks the current event status.

A goal, red card, VAR review, penalty decision or dangerous attack may trigger a price change or market suspension—a temporary pause in betting. An unconfirmed request may be rejected or cancelled, or require confirmation at updated odds.

Scores, clocks and statistics displayed in Awash Bet live may lag behind the action. They should not be treated as proof of the final result. Live football betting settlement uses confirmed event data and the accepted market conditions.

Odds changes and bet confirmation

The odds displayed before submission are not a confirmed betting price. Check the accepted bet record to see the odds attached to your bet, subject to any applicable technical-error provisions.

If odds change before acceptance, the system may offer a new price or reject the request. Any setting allowing acceptance of changed odds should be checked before submission, especially during live football.

Review the selection, stake, time period and odds in the bet slip. After submitting, check for an accepted bet and reference number. A pending or rejected request is not confirmation of an accepted wager.

Technical faults or obvious pricing errors are handled under the published error rules; they do not create an automatic entitlement to payment or refund.

VAR, official data and result corrections

VAR, the video assistant referee process, can lead to a goal being disallowed, a penalty decision changing or a card being reviewed. Markets may be suspended while the decision is pending, and settlement may wait for confirmed data.

A provisional score or statistic can therefore differ from the data used for settlement. If an official source corrects a result after settlement, any review or resettlement must follow the applicable Terms and Conditions, including their timing and error provisions.

For a disputed result, keep your bet reference, market name and acceptance time. Ask support which event data and rule were used.

Player, cards and corners markets

These markets need particular attention because their counting methods can differ.

  • Cards: check whether the market counts only players on the field or also substitutes, bench staff and coaches. Confirm how second yellow cards and card points are treated.
  • Corners: check the rule for officially awarded and taken corners, including a corner awarded but not taken before the whistle. Do not rely only on the live counter.
  • Player participation: a non-participating player selection may be void, but starting, substitute appearance and minimum-participation conditions depend on the market.
  • Player goals: own goals are generally excluded from the credited player’s goalscorer total, unless the rules say otherwise. A player goalscorer market is different from a team total market.

Check the specific market rules before placing a bet, including whether stoppage time, extra time or shootout events are covered.
